Swan Doors have joined the exclusive ‘Fire Rated Thermoplastic Faced Composite' club.
Following extensive skin design and development work with Acell, Swan Doors have been successful in achieving a 30/30 fire rating for their full range of thermoplastic-faced doors. Swan Doors are now able to offer fire rated entrance doors for the growing flat and apartment replacement door market on similar 3-week lead-times to their standard entrance door product.
Testing was carried out by Chiltern Fire and used an engineered core with the unique fire resistant properties of Acell's Mineral Filled Phenolic Foam as the infil material.
The modified facing designs feature an attractive ‘double groove' to highlight the moulded panel areas, whilst retaining the resistance to the passage of fire given by the Acell foam.
